No doubt, there is so much to study about this land, Israel. Look at the plains of jordan and the mountain rangs. This land by a massive body of water and consumed by peculiar in formation, mountain ranges is intriguing. This land as diverse and difficult it maybe is, one would say completely utilized. Even in the Negev, you feel that when technology gives them the power to use more of this land they will. Cynthia Williams
Yes, the Negev region has been 'stubborn' from a human-settlement perspective, given its arid climate. The vast majority of modern Israel-Palestine's population lives on the coast and in the hill country. Israel's first president (David Ben-Gurion) made national expansion into the desert one of his priorities... but nearly 70 years later, the region remains sparsely populated.
